We promote energy literacy, leadership skills development and energy stewardship as our contribution towards achieving a sustainable low carbon future. Our executive education, training and research management activities build an international community of practice to promote new ways of recognising and adapting to energy issues, challenges and opportunities.
The International Energy Centre (IEC) is a collaborative initiative established by three of Australia’s leading universities (University of Queensland, University of Western Australia, University of Newcastle) and foundation industry member Glencore Xstrata. Our collective vision is to create an established centre of excellence in thought leadership, postgraduate education and innovation management to support the transition to a sustainable low carbon world.
